(a) Overtime authorized for training purposes shall be paid at the regular rate of pay of the respective employee. Those hours served in voluntary training when said employee is off duty will be unpaid. (b) Employees called to duty as distinguished from employees held over beyond the quitting time of their regular shift shall be paid overtime for authorized time served but for not less than a minimum of 2 hours. (c) Overtime pay for an employee shall accrue 15 minutes and 45 minutes after the end of such employee's scheduled duty shift, and shall be paid in full half-hour increments at each of said points of time for the first hour of such overtime; all overtime after the first such hour shall accrue and be paid in increments of one-half hour. (AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 81-40, May 11, 1981) (d) Employees required to attend court at a time other than during the regular shift of said employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for said employee, subject to the following provisions: (1) Said employee shall be paid for a minimum of two hours authorized overtime, but shall be paid for time actually served after two hours; but, (2) If the regular shift of said employee commences during the time of required court attendance, then, except for said two hour minimum, authorized overtime pay shall cease at the commencement of such regular shift; and, (3) If said employee is required to attend court commenc- ing at a time during his regular shift and such attendance ex- tends beyond the end of said shift, then said employee shall be paid authorized overtime pay only for time actually served. (4) If an employee is required to attend court one hour or less prior to the time his regularly scheduled shift com- mences, he will be paid time and one-half for only the actual time served in court prior to commencing his regular shift. 6-2-2 . If an employee is required to appear in court outside Macon County on a day he is not regularly scheduled to work, he shall be paid for approved travel time in addition to actual court time, said court time not to exceed 8 hours. The City will not reschedule off-duty days so that such out-of-county court ap- pearances fall on regularly scheduled duty days. (AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 86-03, January 21, 1986)
