- 4 - <br /> Section 14 . The rules, regulations, requirements, <br /> standards and provisions of the National Electrical Code, <br /> 1975 , being NFPA No. 70-1975; NASI C1-1975 are hereby adopted <br /> by reference as if fully set forth herein. <br /> Section 15. No person, firm or corporation shall install <br /> or alter electrical equipment or commence to install or alter <br /> such electrical equipment within the City of Decatur, Illinois , <br /> without first obtaining a permit to do the same issued by the <br /> Inspection Division, except that extension of a branch circuit in <br /> conformance with said National Electrical Code, the replacing <br /> of an electrical device or minor maintenance may be done without <br /> such permit. <br /> Section 16. Application for the required permit shall be <br /> made to the Inspection Division upon forms prescribed and furnished <br /> by said Division and shall be made by the owner or occupant or <br /> agent of either of the premises whereon the work is to be done or <br /> by the engineer, architect, or contractor connected with such <br /> proposed work, and which application shall , among other things <br /> which may be from time to time reasonably required by the Inspection <br /> Division, contain the name and address of the applicant and of the <br /> owner or occupant of the premises if other than the applicant; <br /> the address where the work is to be done ; the name and address <br /> of the contractor who will perform the work , and shall disclose in <br /> full the nature and the extent of the work to be done. Whenever <br /> it is reasonably necessary for a proper understanding of the work <br /> or to show the extent thereof and the compliance thereof with the I <br /> provisions of this ordinance, the Inspection Division may require that I <br /> detailed p'.ans and specification be submitted with said application ' <br /> and approved by said Division before the issuance of such permit. '�i <br /> Section 17. A copy of the required permit shall be posted <br /> upon the premises where the work is being done during the prosecution <br /> thereof and until the final approval of the work and such necessary <br /> or desirable decals , labels or similar items to be affixed to the <br /> approved work shall be furnished by the Inspection Division and <br /> shall be properly affixed by the contractor or by the Division, as the <br /> case may be. <br /> Section 18 . The Inspection Division may revoke a permit or <br /> withhold approval of work in case there has been a false statement or <br /> representation as to a material fact in the application, the <br /> plans or specifications upon which such approval or such permit <br /> was based. Any permit under which no work is commenced within 6 <br /> months shall automatically expire unless an extension thereof is given <br /> by the Inspection Division upon good cause shown. <br />
