For special equipment: Each light- <br /> ing or power transformer above 1 KVA, <br /> $3. 00 each: for each sign requiring <br /> 500 watts or less , $1. 00 ; for each <br /> sign requiring more than 500 watts, <br /> $2. 50 ; <br /> 5. For each motor, depending on horse- <br /> power, as follows : 1 horsepower or <br /> less, $1. 50 ; 1.1 through 4 horsepower <br /> $2. 25 ; 4. 1 through 7 horsepower, $3. 00 ; <br /> 7. 1 through 10 horsepower, $3. 75; over <br /> 10 horsepower, $3. 75 plus 10¢ for each <br /> additional horsepower or fraction there- <br /> of. The maximum charge for a single <br /> motor shall be $10 . 00. When two or more <br /> motors of less than one horsepower each <br /> are installed under the same permit, the <br /> aggregate horsepower thereof shall be <br /> determined and the fee shall be $1. 50 for <br /> each even horsepower of such aggregate <br /> and $1. 50 for any fractional remainder <br /> thereof; <br /> Section 22 . Whenever the Inspection Division shall have <br /> reasonable cause to believe that electrical equipment in any structure <br /> within the City has become dangerous or has been so installed or altered <br /> as to be dangerous, said Division may inspect the same and shall <br /> give notice in writing to the owner or occupant of said structure <br /> of any dangerous or unsafe condition found which said notice shall <br /> set forth such dangerous condition and that which is necessarj� <br /> to correct the same . Within 30 days after the receipt of notice of <br /> any dangerous or unsafe condition as provided herein, the owner or occu- <br /> pant of the structure wherein such condition exists shall cause <br /> the same to be corrected in conformance with the provisions of <br /> this ordinance. <br /> Section 23. Whenever the Inspection Division finds that <br /> electrical equipment has been or is being installed or altered <br /> in violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance or of <br /> any applicable code or other ordinance of the city, it may order <br /> that all further work be stopped and suspended until such <br /> violation has been remedied which said order shall be in writing <br /> directed to the person performing the work and to the owner or <br /> occupant of the premises whereon such work has been or is being done. <br /> Section 24. When electrical conductors are installed in <br /> basements or garages , whether attached or unattached, of residential <br /> structures , said conductors shall be placed in approved metal <br /> conduit or metal raceways , unless said conductors are to be <br /> concealed behind and protected by approved wall or ceiling covering, <br /> or the same do not extend more than 3 feet into such basement.
