_ 7 _ <br /> SECTION 13: <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the ag�regate assessment, and also <br /> each individual assessment and the assessment against the Murricipality for public <br /> benefits, shall be divided into ten annual installments in the manner provided by <br /> Statute, Each installment, except the first, shall be the amount of $100. 00 or <br /> some m�zltiple thereof, and each of said installments shall bear interest at the rate <br /> of seven percent (7%o) per annum, payable annually, according to law, untii paid. <br /> S EC TIO�i 14: <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED in all proceedings for the taking or damaging of <br /> property and for the assessing, levying and collecting of said Special Assessments <br /> herein provided for, and for each and every installment thereof, and for the letting <br /> of the contract of said improvement, and for the payment of the work and materials, <br /> all, each and every proceeding shall accord with and be governed by an Act of <br /> the General Assembly of Illinois, entitled, "Local Improvements, " being Chapter 24, <br /> Illinois Revised Statutes, Article 9, and all acts amendatory thereof. <br /> Sr:.CTION 15: <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that management of said improvement shall <br /> be under the general supervision of the Board of Local Improvements of the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois. <br /> SECTION 16: <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Corporation Counsel of the said City <br /> of Decatur, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to file a petition in the <br /> Circuit Court of Mam n County, Illinois, in the name of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, praying that steps may be taken to ascertain the compensation to be made <br /> for private property to be taken or damaged for such improvement, and for the <br /> purposes specified in this Ordinance, and to ascertain what property will be <br /> benefited by such improvement, and the amount of such benefits to be levied for <br /> such improvement in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and in the <br /> manner prescribed by law. <br />
