Buildin� ��d structures and additions to existing buildings and <br /> structures may be hereafter constructed in said limit� of BOCA Code construc- <br /> tion types, wzprotected non-combustible (Type 2C), ordinary unprotected <br /> (Type 3C) or protected frame (Z�pe 4A), as defined and regulated as afore�aid, <br /> when the same are constructed �►nd loc ated in accordance with one of the follow- <br /> inq deacribed methods, or a acxnbiaatioa,thereof apg>roved by the Building Offi- <br /> ci.als <br /> a. Method 1 - Open 9pace Separation - The building, structure or <br /> addition thereto shall be so located as to provide a ffiinimum thirty-foot fire <br /> separation adjacent to every part of all e�cterior walls. <br /> b. Method 2 - Fire Wall Separation - The bnilding, stxucture or <br /> addit ion thereto shall have a roof covering of at least a Class B fire rating, <br /> and shall be so located and constructed that every exterior wall adjacent to <br /> a fire separation of th�ee feet or less shall be a non-combustible fire wall, <br /> or shall be protected by a non-combustible fire wall, either of them having a <br /> fire resistance Yating of at least four hours.
