Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to prevent the use or any material or method of construction whether or not specifically provided for in this ordinance if, upon presentation of plans, methods of. analysis, test data, or other necessary in- formation, to the 8uilding Official by the interested person ox persons, the Bu�lding Oriicial is satisfied that the proposed ma- terials or method of construction complies with specific provisions of or conforms to the intent of this ordinance. 8. No person, firm or corporatian shall construct, xemove, demolish, or alter or structurally repair any building, oz struc- ture or commence to construct, remove, demolish or alter, or struc- turally repair any building or structure without first having obtain- ed a permit so to do issued by the Building Official or his author- ized representative upon approval of an application for the same. 9. Application .ior such permit shall be in cvriting on forms prescribed and furnished by the Building Official which applications shall be made by the owner, lessee or agent of either, or the archi- tect, engineer or builder employed in connection with the proposed wor:: and shall contain the name and address of the appli.cant and of the owner, and iT the owner is a corporation the name and address o� the President and Secretary thereof or the local managing agent there- of. The application shall contain such description of the proposed work and other information a s may be reasona bIy required by the Build- ing Official. Each application for a permit for construction of a new builcling costing $2,500.00 or more sha11 be accompanied by t wo sets of dravaings to scale of the proposed worlc including floor plans, eleva- tions, sections, structural and mechanical plans and a site plan accu- rately showing the location and size of the neva building or structure along with o�f-street parking facilities, if any, and two sets of spe- cifications for the proposed work. Amendments to an application may be made at any ti� betore completion of the permitted work subject to the approval of the Building Official. 10. Upon approval of the plans and specifications submitted and issuance of the permit, the plans and specifications so approved sYza11 be strictly adhered to, 11. The required plans and specifications and any alterations, revision or a mendment thereof shall bear the signature and the date of fina l preparation or appro�al of the person preparing the same and shall be endorsed with a statement showing the relations of the preparer there of to the owner or applicant, and shall be in compliance with a11 applicable statutes of the State of Illinois and orclinances of the City oi Decatur . �
