Septic tanks shall not be used in connection with uses other than residential use provided that under unusual circum- stances the Administrative Authority may direct an alternate method of waste disposal for such uses other than residential uses which method of waste disposal shall be not contrary to the intent and purpose of said code and this ordinance and shall accord with the protection of the public health and safety. Section 19. Septic tanks and all lines, fields and appurtenances thereto shall be left uncovered and unenclosed until the same shall have been inspected and approved by the Inspection Division and shall be instal- led only after a permit therefore has been obtained from said Inspection Di- vision after the payment of a fee of $10.00, application for which said per- mit shall state the day, time and place of the installation and the identity of all persons doing work there�. Such installations near or adjacent to Lake Decatur shall be subject to such additional requirements as may be pro- vided by other ordinances of the City. Section 20. Water main taps shall be not less than 3/4 inch and any I! tap larger than 1 inch in diameter shall be made only with a sleeve rein- ' forced connection but services larger than 1 inch may be supplied by mul- tiple taps of sufficient size in the aggregate to provide a combined area equal to the area of the service main, which multiple taps shall be spaced not closer than 10 inches on center with separate copper lead pipes fitted into a branch water connection having an equal number of inlets and from which the service main is continued with the angle of such inlets to the o utlets of said branch connections arranged so that the streams blend to- gethe r in the out let witho ut fr iction. Section 22. Water main taps shall be made only by licensed plumbers with previous experience in such work and then only with a tapping machine I in proper �,wrking condition. Section 23, The corporation stop shall be protected by a box construc- II ted with clean whole brick placed on a solid bottom extending not less than 2 feet 6 inches from the main with brick joints overlapping and with a brick cover providing at least 4 inches of clearance above the stop so that there shall be no ureight thereon in case of settling.
