Detailed Resident Engineering: ' <br /> During the period of performance of construction of said <br /> improvements, onty if directed by the City, the Engineer <br /> shall furnish detailed resident inspection services acceptable <br /> to the City. Such resident inspection shall contemplate the <br /> furnishing of a full-time resident engineer inspector (or <br /> inspectors, as necessary) , for the period of active construction <br /> of the project. Such resident Engineer inspector shalt provide <br /> those services which are customarily referred to as detailed <br /> resident engineering .inspection services. If the construction <br /> contract time is exceeded by more than twenty-five per cent <br /> (25%) , not occasioned by the fault of the Engineer, extra de- <br /> tailed resident engineering required shall be furnished and <br /> compensated as specified under "Compensation", Paragraph (4) . <br /> F. Special Engineering Services: <br /> Other supplementary services which may be provided by the <br /> engineer when directed by the City to furnish such services: <br /> Property and boundary surveys and plats; test borings and/or <br /> other subsurface explorations or samplings; commercial , shop, <br /> mill , or laboratory inspections or tests of materials and <br /> products; court testimony; special trips and expenses; changes � <br /> in design required through no fault of the Engineer, including <br /> changes in previously approved scope of the work, criteria, <br /> specifications or other design elements; extensive changes to <br /> construction plans to provide "as-built" plans not due to <br /> engineer' s errors; reproduction of plans and specifications <br /> beyond agreement requirements. <br /> Compensation PARAGRAPH (3) - <br /> Compensation for engineering services defined in PARAGRAPH (2) , Sub- <br /> paragraphs A, B, C, � D, shall be as follows: <br /> (a) The compensation for engineering services rendered <br /> under PARAGRAPH (2) � Sub-Paragraphs A, B, C, � D <br /> as defined herein shall be nine percent (9%) of <br /> • the total estimated construction cost of the said <br /> proposed improvements. <br /> The compenstion for the services rendered under <br /> PARAGRAPH (2) , Sub-Paragraphs A, B, & C shall be <br /> Eighty Peroent (80%) of the above determined basic <br /> fee. The compensation for the services rendered <br /> under PARAGRAPH (2) � Sub-Paragraph D shall be <br /> twenty percent. (20%) of the above determined basic <br /> fee. I <br /> -3- <br />
